We finally have our Top 10!

This week's theme: "Motown," with guests Smokey Robinson and the founder of Motown, Berry Gordy, Jr. All in all, another solid week for the front runners, the others, well...

Here are MY five top faves, and my five bottom picks!

Topping out the night, was you guessed it.. {I kissed a Boy and I liked it}, Adam Lambert or K.D. Lang, I couldn't really tell.. ;) singing "Tracks of my Tears"

Holy Moly, with the new look!! His goal perhaps: making thousands of delusional women everywhere convince themselves he is straight!! Not gonna happen ladies, but this boy can wail! He might be the best pure singer Idol has ever had. He's not like anyone else, he changes it up from week to week, his voice is flawless.. Amazing I tell ya!

Second, only because I love love love him..Matt, singing "Let's Get It On!" ..and umm, ok, you tell me when!

Third, with "Papa was a Rollin Stone", Allison Iraheta. She was fantastic last night..I LOVED it! Who Knew?! Great Voice, Great Moves, such soul..I even think she messed up a few words, but hey..I aint mad at cha!

Fourth, Danny! While the judges, were not so impressed, I still believe he gave a solid performance with, "Get Ready".. He can sing, and that's all that really matters at this point.

Anoop Dogg, with "Ooo Baby Baby" had another very solid performance- he'll be sticking around for sure!

Rounding out the bottom five.. Sorry to say, but my girl, Lil Rounds, with "Heatwave!" Lil- I understand you can sing the phonebook, but stop SCREAMING it at me!!!

Kris sang "How Sweet It Is"..yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm just not into this kid. There's just something about him. He can "sing", but he's not my next American Idol. blah. blah. blah.

and my pick for the bottom three..

Scott with "You Can't Hurry Love"..but you can hurry up and leave the show..I know, not nice.

Megan with, "For Once in my Life"..and once again the tatted up chick looks stunning, and you can tell Simon thought so too..he sometimes makes middle-aged perv look adorable, ;) but her voice was waaaay flat!

and, finally.. Michael with, "Aint to Proud to Beg"..and that's a good thing, because he definitely needs to be begging for his survival!! Stick a fork in you, you're done! Buh-Bye Michael Sarver..back to Jasper ole' buddy!

How was that? Agree? Disagree? We shall see!

All the Single Ladies..

Now put your hands up.. {just kidding} So..where to begin.. I'll start with the post title. Did anyone see O's show yesterday? More importantly, did any of you SINGLE ladies see O's show yesterday? If you didn't..you missed out.

H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!!! and, sooooo true! Occasionally, if Matt's feeling extra nice, he watches my shows with me in the evenings, instead of retiring back to the bedroom for his non-stop Golf channel.. So yesterday, was one of those days..constantly, Matt would shake his head and say, "Yep, Yep" to what Steve was saying.. If you're a single lady, looking for a good man.. then this is a MUST read!! He explained all about how good women can't find good men, (Luckily, I did!!)because we've all lowered our standards, on what we require from a man (Colleen..are you reading this??!!) I think just about every subject was covered, and so candidly. Great real life, everyday, no nonsense book!! Two Thumbs Up!!

Now onto our weekend.. Matt and I decided to try something new on Friday night. We hadn't been out to eat, in almost a week and a HALF ;) so we decided to try a little steakhouse in Avinger, that we had heard so much about. YUCK~GROSS~DISGUSTING!! I ordered a filet (which I always do) medium-well. It was the burntest, darkest, piece of beef jerky I've ever eaten!! ..and not cheap, I might add! Needless to say, we will not be going back..so no rave reviews here. Saturday was a beautiful quiet day. Matt had somehow gotten a crick in his neck, which pained him most of the weekend, so he decided to give up golf that morning {you know he was REALLY in pain, for that!} so, we laid around, had some lunch, and watched this..

it was a lovely tear jerker, my favorite!! Sunday, Matt and I headed over to MeeMaw and PawPaw's house for a cookout with Mikki/Clay and the kiddos! PawPaw cooked steaks (this one was FanTastic!!) and pan fried potatoes/onions, Mik made a salad, and I fried up some squash!! It was such a yummy meal!! We enjoyed our day, relaxing on the boathouse, feeding the catfish..but night came fast and we headed back to Longview. Here's a pic I snatched from Mik from the day..we weren't very good picture bloggers!! I apologize! ;)

I'm really looking forward to this weekend! Matt and I are having a little mini-getaway to Dallas! We haven't been anywhere since our honeymoon, so this will be a nice treat. Christian has a gymnastics meet on Saturday morning that we'll attend, then we will be eating lunch at PF Chang's with the Bobo/Funderburk fam's. Afterwards, Matt and I are going to stay in Dallas, and go to the Zoo/Cheesecake Factory the next day. -no word yet, on whether the Funderburk's will be joining us- :) I wanted this getaway, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on it either, so I began to research hotel rooms this morning, and look at the DEAL I found!! We are staying at ALoft Las Colinas, which is a "W" hotel..for..are you ready for this.. $45 DOLLARS!!!!!!!! I am one HECK of a DEAL searcher!!! Look at these pics!!

Just a Swingin'

Howdy Folks! Another week down..my this year sure is flying by fast! Let's see, Friday night Matt and I went and saw this..

A word to the wise..DO NOT go see this! Oh my goodness..I was NOT prepared for this movie! It is by far one of the most graphic movie's I've ever seen in my life! It wasn't a "scary" movie I'd say, just a suspenseful one..but wow! There were moments that left me completely speechless..again, W-O-W!!

Saturday, Matt and I headed back over to Mikki & Clay's, where MeeMaw and PawPaw met us this time. We so enjoyed a wonderful day/evening of food, fun, and games. Clay cooked out hamburgers, and I made my guacamole and a vege tray..yum yum good! We enjoyed getting to get outside and watch Clara on her new swing..

We also had a little rematch in the guys vs. girls, game of..

However, this time around, the boys won..I think it was totally rigged though..I mean, how am I gonna answer, "The Nutty Professor" and them say NO, b/c it was, "The Nutty Professor II!!" Rigged!! ;) After our game concluded, Matt and I headed home.

Sunday was another lazy one for us..not quite sure why we didn't do anything that day..that night however, I made homemade this..

Lasagna!! It was O-so yummy!! Until recently Matt and I have spent the most of our time together eating out. Sure I'll occasionally make spaghetti, roast, or we'll grill out..but we usually almost ALWAYS ate out. So, we've tried to change that and save a little money..However, I honestly don't think it's saving us THAT much money!! By the time I go to the grocery store, buy things for the week, come home, cook, then clean..I think ugh..what's the use..we could've ran out, gotten a bite to eat, and been home without any of this hard work!! So..needless to say, I'm not sold on the idea quite yet! ;) Here's a dish I made last week as well..

King Ranch Chicken..one of my favorites!! Can you tell I'm really in to casserole's??!! Matt..not so much! ..and for dessert..

cupcakes!! I was in the midst of baking these, when Matt told me, he wasn't really a fan of cupcakes unless they were super moist..so I looked around the kitchen to see what I could "add" to them to make them moist, and alas, I came up with cake icing and whipped cream (I know) but..they were FANTASTIC!! Super moist!! Don't worry..I only had a few, I took most of them to work with me the next day to get rid of..

No post would be complete, without an American Idol wrap-up. With 2 down..

and 1 to go tonight.. I thought last night's "country-themed," was sooo good!! Didn't yall??!! However, I questioned whether there are any girls in the competition this year.. Danny brought me to tears, Anoop touched my heart, thank goodness Anoop Dogg is back, and my beloved Matt didn't let me down!!..but then, there was this..

Johnny Cash meets Marilyn Manson..what the bloody hell was that??!! Matt and I even had to rewind Adam last night for a double take!! So dark and so morbid, yet so genius! Kara said something like she felt dirty and strange, but she liked it..I felt the same way. Boy can hit notes I've never heard of..and it's flawless.. craziness!!

How FABULOUS was this past weekend?! Absolutely gorgeous weather!! Friday night, Matt and I had an early dinner at Carlito's [YUM] and retired back to the house, for a quiet night, and a little TV time before bed. Saturday morning, Matt played golf, while I caught up on the past week's Oprah! That evening we met Mark, Ashley & Philip, and Holly & Jered for dinner at Pizza King. Jered was feeling a little under the weather, so he made an early exit. The remaining 6 of us, headed back to Ashley's for a nice relaxing night. Us girls had a couple hours of glorious girl talk, and it was so nice to catch up a bit.

Sunday, Matt and I spent the day over at Mikki and Clay's! We had a wonderful day just being outside enjoying the magnificent day, and playing with the kiddos! Clare-Bear has started walking, and the girl has got it down..she's one walking machine! Sooo cute, and such a happy baby toddler!! Once the kids were put to bed, we began one heck of a boys against girls game of..

Of course, the GIRLS won..sooo much fun!! Once we finally completed the game, it was already 9:30 (gotta love the time change) so, Matt and I headed home. This week has consisted of nothing but, trying to get used to the time change! Ugh, we have been draggin! It's weird to see Matt leave in the morning's when it's still dark outside..Of course, I'm NEVER up that early, so I wouldn't know.. :) Furthermore, I'm 29 years old, so I've experienced this change 29 times..why am I not used to it by now??!!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I'm a HUGE television junkie!! {don't judge}

I have no children to take care of, therefore I spend my nights with my hubby and the TV! Saturday, is the only day of the week, I don't have something I watch. Hallelujah and Amen for the invention of Tivo!! If not for that, I quite possibly could live as a shut-in!

This week has been extra enjoyable in the land of the tube, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts with you all. ;)

We will start with:

Sunday-

What a wonderful start for the week!

On a perfect day, this day would start out with my favorite guys on TV!

Curt, Terry, Howie, Michael, and Jimmy!! I LOVE the Fox NFL guys!! So funny, yet so informative! My perfect Sunday would be followed by hours and hours of glorious NFL football at 12, 3, & 7!! Hope for a Cowboy win..and then proceed to..

I have to admit this show is usually a hit or miss for me..with their outrageous story lines, it sometimes makes me question how even I can stand to tune in each week!! Everything is right in the world again, when nine o' clock rolls around, and I get to watch this..

I LOVE this show! L-O-V-E!! As left-wing as Sally Field is, I still can't help but to think of her as my favorite mother M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias! love. this. show!

Monday-

Every weekday starts out with a noon showing of one of my many guilty pleasures..

shameful, I know! I don't even know when or how I became addicted to this show! Soaps have a way of sucking you in..and how outlandish are these story lines..it's not until I begin to tell someone something that happened on the show, and I can hear the words that are actually coming out of my mouth, that I realize how ludicrous the behavior that goes on in these shows really are!! But somehow they get me every time! :)

At four..who else, but..

Oprah definitely takes up the most space on my Tivo box. I get to her shows when I can..some right away, some not for months! There are many opinions out there on this little lady, but I still have love for her! We may not always agree on things, but alot of her shows are sooo worth watching!

Lately my Monday nights have been consumed by one, and only one show!

This whiny, no good, sorry excuse for a man! Anyone that's on facebook, knows my deepest thoughts for The Bachelor's, Jason Meznick! At first, he had me. What a wonderful, caring, loving man he was. Heartbroken only to find love. Yuck!! After the stunt he pulled with these two..

I want nothing more to do with him!! He followed his heart, blah blah blah!! Loser! Many things have been said about how the show is completely scripted, everyone was "in" on it, they did it for the ratings..but I refuse to believe Texas's own, Melissa, would stoop to that level! Anyone that doesn't know what I'm talking, must have been living under a rock, and I wouldn't even know where to begin to fill you in! Even Matt keeps up with The Bachelor!! :)

I know I'll crush some souls by saying this, but I can't wait to watch..

Jillian!! As the next Bachelorette, on May 18th!! I just can't boycott it.. I just can't! And, a sidenote to those still actually reading this post..SURPRISE- I am going to name my daughter Jillian! I've been stuck on that name for quite sometime now -sucks I have to let my name out now- but I just had to share before the rumors start spreading. . so first things first, NO I am not pregnant, but if I was and had a girl, I would NOT be naming my unborn child after The Bachelorette!

Whew! Still on Monday!!

I love me some Jon & Kate plus 8!! I love how REAL Jon and Kate are.. you just can't make that stuff up! The way they bicker and pick on eachother like real couples do.. but still have that unconditional love for eachother, is soo great to see! Aaden is my favorite!!

Tuesday-
The new 90210! I was such a fan of the old one, I even had the "theme song" as my back up music on my answering machine, back in the good ole' days!! dork! I HAD to check out the new one, and of course..got hooked- chalk it up to another one on the list! Beautiful, spoiled rich, drama filled teenagers..who wouldn't love it??!!

and of course..you know I faithfully watch..

American Idol!! This amazing hour packed thrill ride of a show is positively one of the greatest things on earth! I love it! From the auditions to Hollywood week to the Finale..love it! This year's favorite's of mine include, from group 1..

Danny Gokey!! This boy can sing..and anyone that's been through what he has, at such a young age, deserves a chance..right??

Jasper, Texas boy- Michael Sarver! I don't think he's fantastic, but I had to root for the Texas boy!

cute as a button girl. I had my eye on her since auditions..she's a doll and I thought she had a great voice, but I don't know if she'll make it either..

Reality-free, hour-long drama filled fantastic Thursday! One of my favorite nights!

I've been a fan of this one from the start! Sadly, it has lost it's value over time..but I'm still a dedicated watcher.

Another good one.. and finally...

An oldie..but SUCH a goodie!! I have been a faithful follower from the beginning watching this with my momma.. This year is it's last year, and ohhh how good it's been!! So sad to see this one go, but am loving all the old character's coming back!!


Friday- If you don't watch this..you're missing out.. sooo good! I was sooo upset when this show switched to Dish, that I watched every episode on-line..so now that it's come back to NBC, I've already seen all the episodes!! So-technically Friday's are open!! woohoo! ;)

Another reason my Friday's are now technically open is because of the cancellation, of maybe my favorite show..
did you watch this? did you love it? I so did!!

Whew Again! This concludes my TV lineup. After seeing how long that took me, perhaps I watch too much televison..?? NAH!! :) Are any of my favorites, your favorites? Or better yet, is there something I'm missing out on??!! It can't possibly be!
