We are Family!

Today's post is going to be slightly educational. I decided to introduce everyone to both the Ferguson and Bobo families, so in future posts everyone will know who everyone is (some of these pictures are quite old, but you'll get the drift!)

I'll start with my side, the Ferguson side!
First we have my dad, Daryl, better known as Pawpaw, or as I so affectionately call him "Big Poppa!"

Then my mother, Margene, better known as "Missy"!
Only one brother, Cody, sometimes "Cowey" if I really want something!

Cody married my fantastic sister in law, Melanie!

Together Cody and Melanie have a son, my super cool nephew, Brennan!

and an amazing daughter, Addison, or addi as we all call her, my beautiful bossy niece!

Here's a few more pic's of the kids, just for kicks!! :)

Now for Matt's side, the Bobo Side!

Matt's parents, Keith & Barbara, otherwise known as Meemaw and PawPaw!

Matt has one awesome brother Mike, but known to most as "Mikey!" He's married to the beautiful Casey, and together they have three spectacular all american boys, Jake, Luke, & Mac!!

Matt's magnificent sister Mikki, is married to, well.. Clay! :) Together they have 2 fantastic boys, Christian & Cullen and one terrific answered prayer, a daughter Clara!

Again, a few pics of the kiddos!!

And well, that about sums it up..the Ferguson's and the Bobo's! My family, and my Bobo-To-Be Family!! God has blessed us, with so many great moments and memories already, and I can't wait for many more to come!

If you didn't notice, something kinda cool, were all "M & C": Matt & Candy, Melanie & Cody, Mike & Casey, Mikki & Clay

Until next time!!

Finally, It happened to me..

I'm engaged!! What a long rollercoaster ride it has been, but well worth every twist and turn.
Here's how it went down.. Last Tuesday, Matt and I set out on our journey to Destin, FL to meet up with my best friend Holly and her husband Jered. The Johnston's had scored a free condo, and Matt and I were more than happy to tag along. We had a wonderful trip, good food with good company, entertaining game nights, shopping, and ONE amazing day of sun..but no proposal!

As you all know, I'm not very patient, and I just knew Matt would propose in Destin! But as the days grew longer and drifted away, I left Destin tired, sunburnt, hungry, in a grumpy mood not wanting to ride in the car for 9 hours, wallet running a little thin, and most importantly engageless!! So all and all, just another "candy mood"!! :)
On the other side of Shreveport, Matt asks me if I hear something. (Flash back to earlier in the week, when Holly asked if I noticed my mom's car drifting to the right a bit), so when I asked "Why" to Matt, he said I hear something grinding, like a tire going down or the brakes. WHOA, so now on top of everything, Matt's now broke my mom's brand new car, she so graciously let us drive to Florida.. Me=Not Happy! A couple of feet before the Texas state line, Matt pulls over to "check" the car. He put the flashers on, goes around to look at the tire, and then opens my door and is down on one knee! He asks and I said yes! :) The funny thing is, I do remember saying when we found out we were going to Destin, "If I don't have a ring, by the time I cross the Texas State line.." and the rest is history. So, in true Matt form, he made me wait all week, but it was worth it in the end!
