It's Our Anniversary~

..My headline, really is a song.. I did not falter.. :)

So, I know I just posted yesterday, but I had to post for our ONE MONTH Anniversary! Happy Anniversary to us! Everything's going great in the life of Matt & Candy. We still look at each other and say.."We're Married!"..sometimes it's a good thing, other times not..haha! The "everyday" life hasn't changed much, being as we've been together for so long and lived in sin for much of the latter, ;) but it's neat to have just the comfort of knowing he's my husband, and I'm his wife. ok..enough about us.

Here's a little treat, of things yet to come. I was able to snag a couple of pics from our photographer, before we get the final ones..so a sneak peak!

love ya Mattie..here's to many many more!!

Until Next Time!

They Call Me the Fireman..

Well.. Matt and I FINALLY saw it! "It" being the movie Fireproof! For sometime now, Matt's parents and Mikki, have been telling us about how great this movie was, and how we HAD to see it BEFORE we got married..well, we didn't quite make the before, but we got it in before it left theatres. I truly don't believe there could possibly be a "bad" time in a marriage to see this fantastic movie. Aside from the fact, that this is a low-budget Christian community made film (so the acting's not the best) this movie touches all the right raw emotions between any husband and wife. I urge anyone reading this, who hasn't seen this movie yet, no matter what stage of marriage your in, to GO SEE IT!! You won't be disappointed.

Everyone needs that reminder of what marriage and the commitment you took before God really means!

Here's a little synopsis of the movie taken from the website:

At work, inside burning buildings, Capt. Caleb Holt lives by the old firefighter's adage: Never leave your partner behind. At home, in the cooling embers of his marriage, he lives by his own rules.

Growing up, Catherine Holt always dreamed of marrying a loving, brave firefighter...just like her daddy. Now, after seven years of marriage, Catherine wonders when she stopped being "good enough" for her husband.

Regular arguments over jobs, finances, housework, and outside interests have readied them both to move on to something with more sparks.

As the couple prepares to enter divorce proceedings, Caleb's father challenges his son to commit to a 40-day experiment: "The Love Dare." Wondering if it's even worth the effort, Caleb agrees-for his father's sake more than for his marriage. When Caleb discovers the book's daily challenges are tied into his parents' newfound faith, his already limited interest is further dampened.

While trying to stay true to his promise, Caleb becomes frustrated time and again. He finally asks his father, "How am I supposed to show love to somebody who constantly rejects me?"When his father explains that this is the love Christ shows to us, Caleb makes a life-changing commitment to love God. And with God's help he begins to understand what it means to truly love his wife.

But is it too late to fireproof his marriage? His job is to rescue others. Now Caleb Holt is ready to face his toughest job ever...rescuing his wife's heart.

My dear friend, and matron of honor, Holly gave me "The Love Dare" as a wedding gift, the day before my wedding. It means so much more now that I've seen the movie, and it's something I will cherish, use, and re-use for years to come!! Thanks Smalls! :)

We've got just about 3 days left now until Thanksgiving. Oh how I'm looking forward to the long weekend, but more than that, just some great quality time with family and friends. I've got so much to be thankful for this year, and with the holidays rolling around, I just ask that you take a sec, and remember the true reason for the season! :) God is great, and I am blessed~

Until Next Time!

Better In Time..

Many of you know, I was a McCain/Palin supporter for this past election. I really jumped on the "Palin bandwagon"..and saw so much strength, character, and charisma out of this beautiful lady. I recently came across this clip from SNL during the election. It is old, so many of you may have already seen it..but, if you haven't..hilarious! I just love her, and what she stands for..even under the enormous stress of running a campaign, this gun-totin, oil-drillin, God-lovin woman, still found time to have a little fun.

PALIN 2012!!

Until Next Time! :)

Happy Birthday to Clara!!

Howdy!

Let's see..this past weekend was another fun one. Friday night, Matt went to Longview's first playoff game, where the Lobos slaughtered Jacksonville like 61-14..I stayed at home and caught up on my TIVO..it was too cold to get out that night! ;)
Saturday, Matt and I shared a wonderful "husband/wife" day out! :) We started the afternoon out looking at cars (I want a "new" Tahoe) had lunch at the Jalapeno Tree, and spent the rest of the afternoon touring the Parade of Homes..one can dream, can't they?!? :) That night, Matt and I met Cody & Mel, and Seane & Ginger at Fritz for dinner, and then headed off to catch a movie. The movie we had intended on seeing started at 7:30, and dinner ran a little long. We finally arrived at the theatre around 7:50 and after 10 or so minutes, of the six of us going round and round about what to see and do, the guys finally insisted on seeing "Bond!" I can't tell you how upset this made me. I am a movie-goer all the way, BUT I can not stomach to sit through sci-fi's, stupid horrors, cartoons, or non-police related action films, such as Star Wars, Terminator, Superman, and BOND! After lingering behind the guys, and sitting through 25 MINUTES of previews, "it" started. I could only stand about 5 minutes of the incredibly loud, completely non-realistic car chase, when Ginger looked at me and said, "Mel and I want to go." She didn't have to tell me twice. We were outta there! So the girls and I went to Cheddar's and waited for the guys to get out of THEIR movie!! :)
Sunday, Matt and I attended Clara's first birthday party. For anyone that keeps up with The Bobo Buzz, you have frequently been introduced to Miss Clara, but I've never explained how our dear Clare-Bear came about. After months of searching and seeking out a little girl, and one failed adoption later, Clay and Mikki were finally matched with Clara's birth-mom Tierra, who lived in Utah and was eager to find the perfect parents. Clay-Mik and the kids, all headed out to Utah exactly one year ago, and welcomed their precious baby girl in to the world. Mikki was even able to stay in the hospital with Clara. They celebrated Thanksgiving with Tierra and her family; and they have had an incredible open-adoption (as far as communication) ever since. Here's a couple of pics from the Party. Clara technically doesn't turn one until Wednesday the 19th, but it was time to celebrate! :)

Clara's "smash-cake" her momma made her!

Clara got lots of new babies..

Cake Time!! :)

Clara had a great birthday party, and we all had a wonderful afternoon talking, catching up since the honeymoon, and visiting with family.. Here's one last pic of Clara, and you know she's got to be thinking.."Who is this Cat??!!"

The final pic, is one I saw in the boys "classroom", and just had to post. Mikki home school's the boys and since it's Thanksgiving time, she had them do a "thankful" wall..and list everything they are thankful for. Some of the leaves said things like..football, snow, a great home, god's word, the bible, "mowers" (ha!) ..and here's one from Cullen:

I'm thankful for...Tony Romo!! How Bout Them Cowboys last night??!! Could it be..we're back?? What a great winning game last night, I'm actually excited to watch them again! :)

on to a little fyi: my photographer finally delivered and Matt and I viewed our pictures yesterday. Unfortunately something went wrong with the "digital" processing of a few and she lost the entire ceremony. I've come to peace with this, and the remaining (over 400) ones that she got, are incredibly beautiful. I was so happy with most of them. As a compensation, she is giving me the copyright to each and every one of the pics she was able to process, so hopefully I'll get the finals soon, and I'll be able to pass them along to you all!!

Until Next Time!!

Not really..I've already come.. but, in my non-existent search for more musical headlines, this is all I could come up with! :) I decided I'd post some of the pics I've acquired from various people, (Mel, Mik, Holly & Gin) of the wedding weekend. (Thanks Gals) I emailed MJ, my photographer, today..so I should have some word soon on when we can expect the "real" proofs..so here goes..enjoy!
You may need to brush up on your memory, by reading the "Back to Life. Back to Reality" post, or some of these pics may not make sense.
