Summertime!

Last weekend, was the first official days of Summer, and Cody & Melanie threw a kick-off bash of sorts, with around thirty or so people. What an interesting and drama filled night it was..here's a few pics from the weekend!

Pre-Party: Missy and kids come to stay at CaCa's..
what's that saying.."when the cats are away, the mice will play.."

Matt, Andy, Chad, & Richard "practicing their swings" @ FergHollow aka..Cody's par 3 course in the backyard! I thought the idea was to get closest to the pin..why are they all left?!?

Next, ping-pong! These guys, are freakishly serious about their ping-pong. Chad vowed only to "beat a Ferguson" that night..I don't think he succeeded.

Cody & Aaron Matt, "in the zone"
The Girls Fun..shots & hot tubs!

Mel & Erin..wow! Mel, Katie, Gynger, Casey, & Kayln Kayln, showing some skills!
Me & Gin
Lane, Sally, Erin, & Ambo'
We all had a wonderful evening, but looked forward to the next day of laziness and sun. Ginger and Seane came over and we cooked out and swam. Here's a pic of my sweet addi, "pre-accident".
Addi's fight with 3 concrete steps.. poor thing!

This weekend, Matt and I took it pretty easy. We spent yesterday at Matt's parents on the lake with Mikki, Clay, and the kids.. we had a great time, full of laughs, and good food..but no pics! :(

The boys have a super cool new tree swing too, that I wish I'd got pics of..Today Matt and I did, absolutely nothing..it was wonderful!
Until Next Time!!

Papa, Can you hear me??

Happy Father's Day!! Happy Father's Day!! Happy Father's Day!!
(note: this post was quite hard to find a musical headline.. best I could do!)

As everyone's aware, Father's Day was this past Sunday, and Cody and I decided (well really Melanie) to spend it with ours, at their house with a cookout, and some fun in the sun. We had fantastic handburgers which Cody cooked, and my father even asked how he did them, claiming "I didn't know you could grill Cody"and a great father bonding day, with my dad and Donna, Cody, Melanie, Brennan, Addi, Melanie's father Sammy and his friend Nancy. Matt spent the afternoon with his father and family, at their house on lake Tyler. Although, I really enjoyed the afternoon with my father, I was sad that I missed out on Keith's Father's Day! Here are a few pics from our afternoon.

Big Poppa "relaxing"..

Cody, enjoying his father's day..

Sammy, enjoying his..

And, Introducing the latest addition (as of Sunday, not sure now) to the Ferguson Family...

"Turtle-Ly"!! I fell in love with turtlely, (which Cody found the morning of, swimming in the pool!) I think I might have a slight obsession with baby animals..I should have became a vet.. Dr. Johnston, will you hire me?!?

Until Next Time!!

It don't matter if you're black or white..

Throughout the week this week, my "girls" received their formal invite, I guess you'd say, to be my bridesmaid. It's been a challenge for me to come up with cute and unique ways to do things pertaining to the wedding. I'm one of the last ones to get married, and most everything has "been done already." I want EVERYTHING to be different, and I ran across one of the cutest ways to officially "ask". I knew to expect some kinks in my plans every now and then, and I got my first taste of this, this week. As you'll see below, I sent out cookies to each girl, with the words "Will you be my matron of honor/bridesmaids?" I had the option to choose dress color, and skin tone. When asked skin tone, my choices were "fair" and "tan"..well if you know me well, that's a no-brainer!! Of course tan, everyone wants to be TAN!! Little did I know, that this must be the site's "politically correct" way of saying, fair = white, and tan = well see below! :)
When Mikki sent me this picture, I was like "Whoa! Now you LOOK like Clara's momma!!" :) too too funny..at least it'll be something we all remember.

Now for introductions..I have asked my "three sisters", that you've all been already introduced to, to be bridesmaids. Melanie, Mikki, & Casey!

I've asked Holly Nelson Johnston to be my matron of honor. Holly and I met on May 13, 1994, :) and we've been best friends ever since! She's always been there for me, through anything I've ever experienced, and I can't imagine her not being there for me on my wedding day!

Dr. & Mrs. Jered Johnston!
Holly & Jered have one son together, the cuter than cute Parker! Holly's going to be so mad I chose this pic to post of her child, but it cracks me up beyond belief everytime I look at it, I just had to post it!
and, here's a real one!

I also asked Ginger Parrott Richardson to be a bridesmaid. Gin and I have been friends since before I can remember..I'm talking mall rats, rollerskating days! :) She's always been a true friend, there when I need her with a hug and a smile! A must have in my wedding!
Gin & my favorite guy EVER, her husband Seane!
And last, but certainly not least, I've asked Ashley Bullard Green to be a bridesmaid. Ash and I have known eachother since middle school, but not until high school did we become so close! Ash and I have an amazing relationship. Through the years, we might go months or so without talking to or seeing eachother, but the moment we do, it's like we haven't skipped a beat! We have the ability to finish eachother's sentences, and know what's going on with eachother, without saying a word! My wedding day, just wouldn't feel complete without her in it!

Ashley's response to the "invite"..I thought it was so cute, I had to post it! She text me this:

Ashley and her husband, Philip (Philip, better known as bean, is one of Matt's close friends, and also in the wedding, but that's a whole-nother post..it might take me days to list ALL Matt's guys!!)
Ash & Philip have two beautiful kiddos..Dylan & Lane!

Finishing out my wedding party, I will have Addi & Clara as flower girls.

My amazingly talented cousin Casey will be singing, here's a pic of Casey & Andy, and their crazy kids Demi & Talan!
My fantastic cousins, Brooke & Holley will serve as hostesses!

I can't wait to spend my wedding day with each and every one of these girls, I am so blessed to have such amazing love and support from all of them!

Until Next Time!!

Save a horse, Ride a cowboy..

sticking with my musical themed headlines, this one will make more sense in a bit.

This week, I had the pleasure of keeping addi after school each day. Melanie was in Nashville on a business trip, and Brennan started swimming lessons this week, that Cody took him to each day. It's always a mystery how keeping a one year old is going to go, as I'm sure many of you know, but addi's really into her CaCa right now, (CaCa=me..yeah, I know!) so I didn't worry too much. The first day was VERY emotional for me! Addi moved into her "big girl" class at school that day, which means one nap, eat in the "cafeteria", no paci's, and no sippy cups! I arrived late to pick her up that day, around 5:30..and my poor, sweet, tan, white haired little angel was the very LAST child left..I was heartbroken! She looked so big sitting in the "big class" all by herself. It's amazing how fast they grow up! I was at the verge of tears, and promised her I'd never be late again! :)

Day 1 Photo Shoot:
and I couldn't leave out a picture of bubba picking up his sister!

Day 2: Today Matt, addi, & I went to dinner with Mik, Clay, Christian, Cullen, Clara, and KK (Clay's brother Clint's daughter)..sorry, no pics!

Day 3 Photo Shoot:

CaCa: "Addi, don't take off your shoes and socks.."

Addi: "..."
On this night, Matt, addi, Cody, Brennan, my dad and his wife Donna, and I, attended the 71st annual Gladewater Round-Up Rodeo! For those of you that know me well, you know that this is an annual MUST!! I've always enjoyed going to the rodeo, and I'm excited to be able to carry on this tradition with Addi & Brennan.

Until Next Time!
