It’s actually more like the 25 days of Christmas, since I’ve posted NADA this month!! ;) Where to begin..it all went by so fast, but Matt and I had a wonderful Christmas holiday, spending it with many of our nearest and dearest. I find it easier to post through pictures, so here goes!
We left off at Thanksgiving, and December has come and gone, in a flash! The weekend of the 12th, Matt and I attended my family’s Annual Christmas Party! Always a blast!
I had to take these next pics of my aunt/uncle for a Christmas present I was working on **stay tuned**
Nin’s sisters Snookie & Patsy, Nini, Nin’s sister-in-law-JoAnne
..and the craziness, that is my family and Christmastime!! :)
On Monday, I came back to work to this!! Merry Christmas Manager!! :) Ha, welcome to Responsibility!! :) Awesome!
From that week on, I recruited my mom to come help work on my Christmas presents with me..Let’s just say 10 days before Christmas day, I came up with this marvelous idea to MAKE Christmas presents! Here’s sneak peak I:
The following week was my complex’s “dessert social” and Addi’s school program. Usually it’s Addi & Brennan’s, but since bubba is in kindergarten now, his program was during school, so sadly I had to miss it. Luckily though, Addi’s was still at night, so we were able to attend, after my office party. Here’s a few pics I got at the party..
this is our “school room” in the clubhouse..how cute is that??!!
..and ones from the Princess’ program..
..and here’s sneak peak II:
That weekend, Matt and I, along with PawPaw, Uncle Jerry, Clay and the boys, and Cody and Brennan, all packed up in this pimpin ride..
and headed out for the Longview Lobo’s State Championship game against Lake Travis! We left around 11, ate lunch in Athens, and arrived to the game with time to spare. Here’s a couple of shots along the way.
Cody, hogging the video game from his 5 year old!!
Clay, Christian, Mattie, Cullen
Christian was SUCH the sharer and teacher on the trip for Brennan!
Our driver..had a couple of close calls on the way back though!! I’m very familiar with the “going of the road” warning sounds now!! ugh!! ;)
We found this guy wandering around.. Boo & Matt
GAME TIME!
Since the game was played in Waco, Holly & Jered got to bless us with their presence!! It was good getting to spend a couple of hours with them cheering on the Bo’s.. yes, even Jered! :)
Despite the Lobos loss, we had a great time at the game, and we even got to see the Mean Green Marching Machine! :) Oh Jerry!!
After the game, we were lucky enough to grap a little Chuy’s {YUM-O} before heading back to the View. That next week, mom and I hit my “little project” hardcore..
..and the DAY before Christmas Eve, we finished out little project of “Rag Quilts!” I made one for my grandmother, Matt’s grandmother, and Matt’s mom, and after the reaction I got from everyone, I can see many more in mom and I’s future!! :) The process started by me going and picking out fabric at Hancock’s for all of oooo, 5 hours!! TOO many choices! Next I had to find the ridiculously overpriced “fabric photo paper” for the pictures..Then came the hours and days of cutting squares. Next came me putting together the blankets square by square, then row by row, and handing them off to mom to sew, washing them, then more CUTTING!! All to lead us to the finished product…
U Like??? U Impressed?? :) Well, you should be!
Christmas Eve came, and boy was it a busy one. I started out the morning, working until noon. Then came home, finished last minute shopping and wrapping, and we headed over to Matt’s grandmother’s for her to open her present! Since GG has been in and out of the hospital for the last 2 months, she thought it better to stay at home. We missed her on Christmas Eve/Day, but it was SUCH a great visit to have the old GG back. She looked great, and better yet, felt great too! After GG’s we headed to my dad’s to have our “small ferguson” family Christmas..
Bubba got lots of cool stuff like this..
while the Princess got lots and LOTS of makeup!
During all the festivities, it began to “snow” and the kids had SO MUCH fun, running out and playin’
After my dad’s, we headed to our third stop, my aunt Teresa’s for the Ferguson Family Christmas!
A couple of years ago, we decided for our growing family, to start the tradition of the “Chinese Christmas” and it’s been a hit ever since. There’s always some yelling, and fighting, stealing, and family fun.. I can’t even imagine the conversation between my dad and Teresa below..ha!
This years best, was Mike’s present.. the boys were definitely envious! ;)
After Teresa’s, Matt and I loaded up for our fourth stop, Christmas at Cody’s with my mom.. and this is how we found her, when Matt and I arrived..
Matt and I got Brennan the BIG DADDY Gun!!
Addi wanted this princess piano book, and she LOVED it!! We got her some other stuff too!! :)So I have to “set” these next pics up.. WARNING: The following sentences are NOT child appropriate! :) So.. my dad’s brother, Mike, dresses up like Santa every year and hands out candycanes to the kids who go by his house, well Mike thought it would be fun, if he dressed up in his Santa outfit and came over after Teresa’s and “peeked” in the window, let the kids see him and run off.. as to say, “Nope, gotta pass this house and come back, the kids are still awake”.. well, let’s just say, his plan went HORRIBLY wrong.. These two kids seeing Santa “peek” in were MORTIFIED!!
Sadly, it was one of THE. FUNNIEST. THINGS. I’ve ever seen!!! Santa the Creeper!! Hilarious! I mean, honestly, what kids are AFRAID of SANTA CLAUS??!! After MANY a’ minutes trying to calm these two kiddos down, we moved on to the next thing! :)
I made Cody & Mel picture books of the kids, from birth until now, and I’m talking every picture these children have ever been in, all holidays, sports, school, everything! I spent a ridiculously amount of time on them, but didn’t want to order them until I had pictures of Christmas to finish out the year, so I just printed out the covers and gave them to them. Mel “knew” what she was getting, and was SO bummed that I didn’t have the actual books..but she’ll LOVE them when they get here!!
After opening all the presents, Matt and I hung out, and played a little before heading to our fifth and final stop!
HOLLYWOOD!! Girl loves her make-up!
Addi’s Christmas Tree in her room with all her bows on it, too cute not to take a pic!
We arrived at Matt parent’s house at the Lake just before midnight, right about the time to catch a last minute card came, open our Christmas Eve PJ’s and call it a night! Christmas morning, was my kind of Christmas morning, Matt and I didn’t get out of bed until at least 9, and once we were up, we still waited on the Funder5 to head downstairs!
We got Clara a little karaoke Elmo, and she LOVED it.. ha, Dancing Machine!! :)
Cullen couldn’t decide what he wanted for Christmas, so he got this.. I’d say he came out pretty well!!
We got Matt’s parent’s another set of Picture Cards, which they LOVED last year, so now we have 2 decks to play with!! :)
Mattie, opening up his gifts from me, but seriously, WHO is he looking at??!! <<--- I’m over Here!
Matt and I also gave his parents, Mikki & Clay, and Mike & Casey, family photos for Christmas! Here’s Mik and MeeMaw opening their gifts. I had printed out stick heads on the computer of each family member, and wrote Family Photos, December 26th @ 3pm MeeMaw & PawPaw’s house.. they were quite cute, I wish I had gotten a picture of them.. **Updated: I found one in a pic I had taken, and tried to blow it up and crop it..it didn’t turn out very well, but you’ll get the drift.
After presents, we had a fabulous breakfast, and spent the remainder of the day playing games and eating some more! Around 6ish, Matt and I packed up and headed home, so that MeeMaw and PawPaw could head to Dallas to pick up the Yankee Bobo’s!! :) The next day we headed back over to the Lake so that we could all take our family photos.. everyone looked so cute, and despite the chilly weather, I can’t wait to get the pics back from MJ!! (my wedding photographer) After pics, the boys all opened presents, and when I went to begin my picture taking of the exciting event, I discovered that my camera WAS BROKEN!!!!!!!!!!Absolutely, Positively Broken!! My LCD screen was smashed internally, and I had NO idea how it happened!! To say I was devastated, was an understatement! {I have since, sent my camera off to Canon to be fixed/replaced. They can only concur that it was the below freezing temperature that caused my screen to bust..how weird..so if you have an LCD screen..don’t get it too hot or too cold!! who knew?!} After all the trauma, we decided to load up and headed into town for some dinner together, before Matt and I made a B-line to Best Buy, so I could get MY Christmas gift!!! (I had to have something to put me in a better mood!!)
I had asked for gift cards for it, and my contract came up in December, and I have to tell you I couldn’t be happier with it, I LOVE it!! :) WooHoo!!!
The next morning, Matt headed off for golf with the boys, while I headed to the hospital in anticipation for Reese Olivia to make her arrival!! I got there around 1ish, and Ginger was pretty much in hell ;) She had yet to get her epidural, and was feeling pretty much everything! {Made me put off that baby idea for a couple of more YEARS at least} :) Gin was progressing slowly, and around 5ish, the Dr. decided to go ahead and take the baby by C-Section, so Gin and Seane got prepared, and off they went!! Sadly, I did not get any pics of Gin, honestly, because I wanted to live to show the ones I did get!! :)
all of us waiting for news..
Cody and Matt arguing over who won golf that morning!! See that pink thing Cody’s holding, yep that would be my iphone, which Cody downloaded buck hunter, ice hockey, and sky caddy apps on for two hours..Awesome – just what I wanted!!
and FINALLY..
Daddy Seane with News and Pics!! I love MiMi’s face in this pic!!! :)
Gin was in recovery and baby Reese was in the back of the nursery, and we all knew we weren’t really going to get to see either one of them that night, so we called it a night, and waited for Gin’s phone call when I could come back and hold that sweet baby~
Luckily to tie me over, Gin sent this pic on Monday:
and on Tuesday, when I got the call, I rushed straight to the hospital to hold this sweet, perfect, beautiful little girl!!
GOD LOVE HER! I can’t wait until they’re all home and settled in, to go hold her some more!! :)
Whew!! I think that brings us to today!! I’ve had to work this week, but thankfully I’m off Friday!! We’ve got big plans for the New Year, but I guess you’ll just have to wait until NEXT year to hear about it!! :)
Until Next Time!! Have a SAFE & HAPPY New Years!! Happy 2010!!
