Raining on Sunday..

and Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday!! My gosh, I can’t remember the last time it has rained this much and been in the 80’s in JULY!! Seriously, is it time to bust out the ark??!! Craziness..but I’ll take it over 105 anyday!!

So..have yall missed me??!! Matt asked the other day, are you ever going to blog again??!! So- I decided, yes! There hasn’t really been much going on, for all the rain..hence the lack of blogging, but on Friday night, Matt and I went and saw

it was pretty cute, sometimes a little vulgar, but cute none-the-less. Matt played golf early Saturday AND Sunday mornings, while I worked on my blog book. Have yall done this? I know some of yall are in the process..it might be THE most time consuming thing I’ve EVER done in my life..and I made my own wedding album!! Why isn’t it easier, Why doesn’t it pull all your comments, Why can’t it just be an easy layout?? I’m using blurb, and although I’m thankful it pulls the pics and text, it’s still very frustrating!! Thankfully I finished my 2008 book, and will order it today! :)

Let’s see..what else. OH! How bout The Bachelorette?? Did you watch this season? The final three came down to Reid, Kipton, and Ed. With her final choice, being Ed!

I was a fan of Ed’s from the beginning, so I was very happy, but I think I was for sure in the minority! I like Ed’s personality, thought he was a hottie, yet had some extremely flaming characteristics. I like Reid, but thought he did need to open up more sooner. I have nothing bad to say about Kip really, except I could NOT stand the way him and Jillian kissed..how awkward, like he sucked her face off, and pulled back, then went in to suck some more..it was agonizing to watch.. Eww! My vote is for Reid to be the next Bachelor..not cry baby Jake! JMO..

Tuesday kicked off the first official days of

Training Camp!! Ooooo glorious football is almost back!! So far so good, practice seems to be going well..but Romo still can’t catch a break. I know I know, but all this bashing hurts my heart..here’s a little part of former cowboy Michael Irvin’s interview on the matter..

“Can we get Drew Bledsoe  back out here [for] just a week so you guys can really fall back in love with Tony?” asked Irvin..“Let’s put Drew Bledsoe back out here, because sometimes when you have a pretty girl for awhile, you forget how pretty she is. Michael Lohan, father of Lindsay Lohan! Quality!! That’s who I’d want my celebrity dad role model to be..way to pick em’ Jon!! Supposedly they’re in the works of creating a new reality show called “The Divorced Dad’s Club”..seriously Jon, I thought you wanted OUT of the spotlight??!!

Summer Nights..

Did yall notice the cool front this weekend?? My it felt like fall {for a sec!} :)

Let’s see, Friday Cody and Mel left for Destin (withOUT their children) so I had the pleasure of picking the kiddos up from school, before Missy came and got them for the night. I quickly got them a bit to eat, before rushing home to get ready for Christian’s play Matt and I were attending that night.

After mom and the kids left, Matt and I headed out for Christian’s debut in Disney’s Mulan, put on by Arts View Children’s Theater. Matt and I didn’t quite know what to expect from the play, but we both really really enjoyed it. It was sooo good! Christian did great, as did all the kids..the lead, Mulan was actually played by twins, and they acted and SANG amazing!! Unfortunately, cameras weren’t allowed during the show, so I only got a few afterwards..

                                            After the play, all 9 of us went to Roadhouse for dinner to celebrate Christian’s performance, before heading home. {YUM!}

Saturday morning, bright and early, I travelled to Diana to take over kid duty for Missy for the afternoon, so she could go to work. I grabbed doughnuts on the way, (to which Brennan informed me he was allergic to, YEAH RIGHT) We ate breakfast, had a little rock concert in the driveway in the BEAUTIFUL weather, and waited for all our guests to arrive! :) We had planned a swim day, fun in the sun, cookout, and Colleen, Matt, Ashley/Philip and the kids, BooBoo/Lorrie and their kids, came out to play. We had such a fun day, and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves, I know the kids did!

After a long day in the sun, we all decided we should have a low-key night, and call it a movie night! :) We saw 2!! The guys went and saw Public Enemies, while the girls went to see..

OMGosh!!! I knew going in that this was going to be a tear-jerker, but I was NOT prepared! Ahhhh, several times it’s one of those.. “oh my gosh, I’m about to LOSE it in this theatre infront of all these strangers, breathe..breathe, moment.” Whether you end up loving or hating it, it’s definitely a must-see, but take the BOX of kleeenex! And, Mel..this is a NO MOVIE THEATRE movie for you..you must wait until it comes out on DVD!! Wow..I wish someone could have taken a picture of us girls coming out of the movie..I’m sure it was a sight to see! Next, we all decided to see..

one of THE best movies I’ve ever seen, hands down! Sooooo funny, soooo cute! “10” thumbs up from all of us, even the guys loved it! Go see it, rent it, buy it..whatever, sooo good!

Sunday was another lazy lazy day.. Matt and I went to Posado’s for lunch, and  we just watched a little TV for the rest of the day.

OH MY GOODNESS.. Horrible daughter {thanks Ash!}, I forgot to post about Big Poppa’s BIRTHDAY on Sunday!! Poppa decided to take it easy on the day of his birth, so we didn’t see him on his actual birthday, but we did Saturday. Him and Donna went for lunch, and I can only assume he spent the rest of the day doing what he does best..snoozing away in his chair in front of the TV!! :) So here’s to you Poppa..Happy Birthday, I love you!!

Tony Romo pulled the plug on his relationship with Jessica Simpson on Thursday (July 9), the night before her 29th birthday!!

“She is heartbroken,” a source tells People. “She loves Tony. But it’s been difficult lately. He’s busy with his career {As he SHOULD BE!!!} and she’s getting ready to shoot her new show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways.”

She was supposed to celebrate her birthday with a Ken and Barbie-themed party. “She canceled her party because of this,” another source says.

Rumor has it..

Jess' ex might have had a role in the breakup. Sources claim Romo called it off after he found text messages from John Mayer on her phone!!!

Seriously, John Mayer??!!!

An insider says after Romo flew in on Thursday for her birthday bash, “They were hanging out and he picked up her phone and she got defensive about it. Tony found messages from John and went ballistic. Tony dumped her right then. He walked out and that was it.”

For realz???

As much as I love jessica..always have since “The Newlyweds”..and everyone knows how much I heart my Tony Romo..can’t say I’m surprised.. Who know’s if this Mayer thing is true..and why Jess would EVER pick him over Romo is beyond comprehension for me.. so let’s just hope one good thing comes out of this.. CONCENTRATION ON COWBOY’S FOOTBALL!!! Come on Romo, Momma needs a ticket to the Superbowl this year!! :)

According to reports, the 32-year-old papa is trying to design his own line of children’s clothing!

Seriously Jon? Are you the same Jon that wanted out of the spotlight?

Happy Birthday to Mattie..

Yesterday, was the husband’s 32nd birthday!!

We had an incredibly nice relaxing weekend. {Afterall, Vegas is in 3 weeks!} On Thursday, Matt and I kept the kids at Cody and Melanie’s. It was such a great night; so like a little family. We all swam together, cooked and ate dinner together, watched TV together, and then headed to bed.

On Friday, Matt and I grabbed a quick bite to eat at Luby’s before heading to the movies to see.. We had heard such great reviews, and were excited to see it..I do have to admit there were some absolutely hysterical parts, but other parts were just too stupid for me..The very end..wow. Let’s just say, not suitable for children..or me! ;)

For Matt’s bday, I surprised him with a free round of golf Saturday morning; so Matt, Clay, Cody, and Fisher teed off @7:15!! When Matt got home from golf, we laid around and did just about nothing. By mid-afternoon, I came down with a HORRIBLE headache and was in bed by 6:30! We had planned on going to the Great East Texas Balloon Race’s balloon glow with Cody/Mel & the kids, but I was definitely not up for that, so my sweet sweet hubby stayed in with me. We laid in bed, watched a little TV, and just talked and laughed for hours. It was such a great great night.

On Sunday, his actual birthday, we headed to the lake to celebrate with The Bobo’s (and Funder5). PawPaw grilled steaks, we ate, played cards, and took a boat ride. Before we knew it, it was already past 9, so we loaded up and headed home.

Even though it wasn’t very eventful, I hope Mattie still had a good 32nd birthday!!

Independence Day!

So how was yall’s 4th??!! Our’s was pretty good, I’m not gonna lie! :) Some of our favorite parts..

It all started, I guess..Wednesday night. Cody had a softball game that Brennan wanted to go to, so Mel brought Addi to me, so that they could all attend. Addi & I headed out to do a little holiday shopping for decorations, food, a new swimsuit, and bubbles!! ;)

Matt and I had a nice relaxing Friday morning, and decided to head to WalMart that afternoon, to get hamburger stuff for Saturday at the Lake. How crowded and How HOT was it??!! I can’t even come up with the words..miserable I tell ya! I can’t thank God enough that I work inside. If I ever complain about my job again, make me count my blessings!!! WHY do we live in Texas in the Summer??!!

Anywho..after the store, we headed out to Cody’s to help set-up for the 2nd Annual Ferguson Fourth of July Bash. I know I’ve mentioned before, that my brother and my cousin live side by side in the country. Mel’s day lives on the other side. We {hope} to live on either side ;), so it’s a fantastic place for entertaining. This year, was even better than the last! Such a great turn-out!! Cody & Mel got fajitas and all the fixins for dinner, we swam, had a fireworks show, and all the guys participated in the 1st Annual Ferguson Links 4th of July Scramble! Cody has turned the entire “neighborhood” into a Par 3 Nine hole course..I think the guys had sooo much fun, and took it sooo seriously..Cody even had scorecards made up..oh how I wish I would have gotten a picture of that!! :) On to the pictures I did get!!

After our late night, Matt and I headed home to crash and get ready for the next day. I awoke early to begin forming the one jillion hamburger patties for that day’s festivities. Around 1ish, we loaded up and headed for the lake! Us, MeeMaw & PawPaw, and the Funder 5, plus a friend of Mikki’s, Kirsten, and her son Hayden, spent the day swimming and eating, and swimming and eating some more, and watching fireworks over lake Tyler.
