We Wished You A Merry Christmas..

Wow..It's Over?? I can't believe Christmas has come and gone. I don't even know what day it is, to try and "relive" the last few weeks. Wow. It's all sort of a blur..Christmas parties, a wedding, more parties, driving, MeeMaw in the hospital (she's ok), Christmas, more driving..geez. I'll try to focus this post strictly on Christmas, and the wedding and other things will have to wait for a later post. Matt and I's first Christmas as husband and wife was just great. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by the most amazing family and friends!

Ok~let's see.. I worked Monday and half a day Tuesday. We had my office Christmas Party (our second one) that Tuesday afternoon, Christmas Eve was of course Wednesday, and we went from my dad's to my aunt Teresa's to Cody and Mel's to Matt parents all in one day! Whew! Christmas Day, we spent with Matt's family in Tyler, Friday-Sunday we spent mostly hanging out, dinner and a movie with Cody & Mel..Matt played a lot of GOLF, I got a lot of sleep ;)

I'll try and make this the easiest, and most enjoyable..I'll post with pictures and captions for the rest.. here goes!

Monday: Addi was "sick", so her and Mel came to visit CaCa at work!

Twins Much?!? .. Cody really enjoyed this Christmas, Brennan's really beginning to be at that perfect age to do things with dada. This year he got, a real bow, his first BBgun, real golf clubs, and a bike without training wheels..life's good. :)

Stop 2: Aunt Teresa's for Ferguson Family Christmas

Our first Christmas together as husband and wife!! aww.. It was so funny during our family gift exchange, Matt asked the "rules"..and Cody overheard him, and said, "He's never been here before?" and everyone looked in amazement..and Cody went on to say, "Yall've been together longer than almost anyone here, and he's never done this before?!" everyone got a kick out of it!! :) Our Christmas Tradition - The "cousins" have a pic EVERY year since Andy was born..and EVERY year, the boys rumble and roll about how they hate taking these pics when everyone's close to being in their thirty's!! "We'll be doing it until were 80", I said!!

Stop 4: Matt's Parent's house at Lake Tyler..we're past midnight by this time might I add, but Clara was still up! :) It was quite sad to leave and go to Matt's for Christmas..it was our first time really separating the two families. I've always stayed and watch Brennan & Addi open Santa on Christmas morning, ate breakfast with the entire family..but times they are a changing!! ;) As sad as I was, I was thrilled to spend my first Christmas Morning with Matt's family!

Thursday: Christmas Day..and our 2 month Anniversary!!
How fun, and how different! Matt and I slept in the SAME bed at his parent's house for the FIRST time!! :) We all woke up together, had Christmas, then breakfast..all in our PJ's that MeeMaw and PawPaw got us, and we opened on Christmas Eve!! :)

Matt's wife got him a surprise gift.. Armani's Acqua Di Gio! ..he was surprised.

This year, we got Matt's family "Christmas boxes", and filled them with various things.. everyone claimed we were having a "light Christmas", yeah right..now I feel bad..anywho..In Matt's parents I did movie tickets, starbucks coffee, golf balls, fuzzy socks, wedding pics, different things, but the best of all was a deck of playing cards I made with the family pic from the wedding on the back, and each card a different pic, like Matt and Clay were the jokers, (go figure) Clara was the 2's, Mac the 3's and so on.. it was too cute..BUT, I also made them a calendar I made on Shutterfly..I know I can do some pretty fantastic things, but this was truly FANTASTIC!! Each month had each family member's birthday/anniversary printed on the date, then the pictures correlated to that event.. things were color coded to match seasons, and I even picked bible verses to go with each picture or event..Fantastic it was, and the pic above show's MeeMaw's reaction..awwww! :)

all Matt wanted for Christmas was a 3wood..and he kept telling me for days and days before Christmas..I don't see a long skinny box under the tree..and I kept saying "nope"..so on Christmas Eve I took Matt's box over to Mikki and Clay's so they could bring it to Tyler, so Matt wouldn't see his "long skinny box". We decided to play an even bigger trick on him, and have Clay open it pretending it was his. So after everyone had opened their gifts, Mikki told Clay she had one more thing. Clay started to open it, saying hmm..what's this, thanks Mik..all the while Matt was looking in disgust..As soon as Clay opened it, Matt looked over at me and yelled..THAT'S MINE!! Everyone got a kick out of it..I'm quite the clever one! :)

We had a GREAT Christmas..We deeply missed Mike-Casey and the boys though, after the wedding trip..2 months later was just a little to much..I'll let em' slide!! ;)

..and now for MY GIFT!!!

can anyone tell what I got??? You should b/c it's the difference between night and day! Just look at that pic!! :) I wanted a new camera obviously, and asked for gift cards, and on christmas eve at Cody & Mel's, my momma surprised me with my camera!!! Woo Hoo!! A Canon PowerShot SX10IS!! I LOVE it!! So, here's some of my work..watch out, I may have found a new career path!! :)

We so enjoyed our time of family, food, football, and cards and headed home late that night!

Here's a few pics from this past Sunday..Matt and I headed over to Cody and Mel's to cookout and watch the Cowboys lose! (On a side note, better luck next year Boys..cause right now, you SUCK!) Seane & Ginger joined in on the festivites as well..

I hope everyone out there in blogland had a very merry christmas.. My post date, I think, is going to say I did this on Sunday the 28th..not so..it's the day I started, and it's taken me this long to finish it~ :) So..today's New Years Eve, and I'm wishing everyone a Happy and Safe New Years!!
