Might as well face it, you're addicted to LOVE!

Valentine's Day- The day of love~

Oh, if it be to choose and call thee mine, love, thou art every day my Valentine! ~Thomas Hood
Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end. ~Unknown
"To love and win is the best thing. To love and lose, the next best." ~William M. Thackeray

Whether you're in love, finding love, or have even fallen out of love, love is like a violin. The music may stop now and then, but the strings remain forever. What are we without love? Who are we without love? Every one of us seeks to find love. People can say over and over how they loathe Valentine's Day, but the truth is, everyone wants to be loved! Valentine's Day is the one day of the year where you're eager to let your guard down, sledgehammer those walls down. It's the one day, you don't feel embarrassed or ashamed to let those special people know how much they mean to you, and equally, how much YOU mean to them!

This Valentine's Day {our first as husband and wife} was perfect. Full of love, and full of things we love the most! It started with these..

Beautiful, aren't they? I believe Valentine's Day is one of the only days of the year, that it is acceptable to buy these ridiculously overpriced, week long, petals of joy! Because after all, what girl doesn't love getting flowers every now and then?!

Matt and I enjoyed a glorious morning of sleeping in..we cooked a little breakfast together, and then laid around a bit. While Matthew was "relaxing," I headed to the kitchen to begin his Valentine surprise.
Matt's V-day gift..

Aren't I creative?? What does my husband love more than golf??!! {trick question there people} After presents, Matt and I got cleaned up and set out for the beginning of our "Love Day".

Our first stop of things we love, was the pet store. NO we did not get a new pet, we both just love looking and petting all the precious babies. Matt enjoys the puppies while I immediately gravitate towards the kittens! After our fun stop, we headed to quite possibly the best place on earth! :) Brian & Scotts!!

Afterwards, we began our trek east for the hour ride, for a few other places we love, only to run into this..
We can only gather a combination of a Saturday night, a Valentine's night, combined with, to our surprise a Mardi Gras parade on the river..ugh, was the cause for such congestion! So, about 20 minutes later than planned, we arrived here..
Can you please tell me again, why we love this place??!! Not a loving feeling came over me as we departed! ;) But, soon after we landed here..

Yummy!! Matt and I, as you know, frequent Shreveport quite often, and we usually dine at The Saltgrass Steakhouse. Matt had been wanting to try The Bistro for a while, and the last time we went, we decided to try it out. I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Cheesecake Factory, and was skeptical to replace a good thing, but I was pleasantly surprised with The Bistro. The menu is almost identical, as is the look and feel of the restaurant, and it serves the same dish I dream about at The Factory..a chicken avocado club sandwich!! :) We got to the Boardwalk around 8:30, and put our name on the never ending two hour, what are we thinking, wait list. We decided to pass the time with a little shopping at Banana Republic and The Gap, and were ecstatic when our buzzer went off, only after about an hour!! woo-hoo :)

After our fantastic dinner, we left the boardwalk, only to find this again..

All in all, what a lovely day we had! I hope you too had just as an amazing Valentine's Day, and that we'd all be blessed with many more!

Until Next Time!

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Glad you guys had a great time...and, thank you for patronizing The Copeland Cheesecake Factory...my husband is related to those people (or at least I like to assume he is). LOL! And, you guys are going to make great parents one day, especially as much as you love animals!!
